Influence of Cutting Conditions and Radius of the Rounding of Tool Made of Composite 10n on Surface Layer State During Turning of Hardened Steels

The results of studies of the type influence of treatment and tool material on the structural state of the boundary layer 107WCR5 during treatment are shown. The advantages of turning chisels with composite 10 compared with the process of grinding. Processing treatment with composite 10 in the surface layer for α-and γ-phase is accompanied by compressive residual stresses only, while the abrasive treatment is accompanied by tensile stresses in the kind of I-α- phase structure of high-speed dispensing.

Research of influence of oscillations of tool-part system on roughness of surface layer during high-speed friction strengthening

During the discontinued friction strengthening except of the high-speed friction the processes of high-frequency shock loadings appears in the tool-part contact zone. The vibrations occur in the machine elastic system. During the vibrations of elastic systems, in the material of elastic elements and in the connecting units of the structure parts the energy dissipation into the ambient medium takes place. The energy dissipation of vibrations occurs due to the influence of the inelastic resistance forces on which the energy of the oscillatory system is spent.

Measurement of Roughness of Internal Surface of Measuring Pipeline in Real Time for Standard Orifice Plates

Methods for measuring the roughness of the internal surface of a measuring pipeline for projected rectilinear sections of a measuring pipeline and for rectilinear sections that are in operation have been determined. The new equations for calculating the hydraulic resistance coefficient of friction of natural gas on the internal surface of the measuring pipeline, the average value of natural gas pressure along the section of a measuring pipeline and the equivalent roughness were obtained.

Investigation of Surface Free Energy of the Glass Ceramic Coatings on Titanium for Medical Purposes

Biocompatible calcium silicophosphate glass-ceramic coatings for titanium on the base of glasses in R2О–RO–RO2–R2O3–P2O5–SiO2 system have been obtained. The influence of crystallization ability and roughness of experimental coatings on their surface free energy has been established. The use of titanium implants with applied apatite-containing glass-ceramic coating will significantly increase biocompatibility of the prosthetic implant and will reduce the time of its union with the bone.
