The article examines the overall process of designing and future development of a warehouse management system, which is being developed with a focus on improving its operational efficiency. The main emphasis was placed on modeling methods of key business processes to optimize the main operations of the warehouse, as well as a detailed review of the desired database structure, which would serve as a datastore for storing various data about goods, their movement, and operations involving them.

This article examines the concept of digitalization and its implementation at an enterprise in order to increase its competitiveness on the market. The COVID19 pandemic in 2019 dealt a severe blow to the economy of every country in the world. As a result of the closure of many businesses and stores, many consumers switched to online shopping – 84 % made online purchases during the pandemic. Shoppers began shopping outside their home country, which intensified online competition. In the first half of 2020, cross-border e-commerce grew by 21 %.

The article researches the impact of the digitalization and digital transformation process on the construction of functional management systems of modern enterprises.
