Steering systems with an electromechanical amplifier (EMA) are a modern design solution compared to hydraulic and electro-hydraulic steering systems. Hydraulic steering amplifiers are used in the steering drives of modern trolleybuses and electric buses. If an electric motor powered from the power grid is used to drive the hydraulic pump in trolleybuses, then in electric buses, the source of electrical power is rechargeable batteries. Energy consumption to ensure the operation of the hydraulic power steering reduces the mileage of the electric bus between charging the batteries.

Influence of vehicle acceleration intensity on dual-mass flywheel elements and transmission load

Modern high-torque low-speed internal combustion engines (ICEs) generate torsional vibrations close in disturbance frequency to gearboxes natural oscillation frequencies. Effective absorption of such oscillations requires a new torsional vibration damper between the internal combustion engine and gearbox design, which is implemented in the form of a dual-mass flywheel (DMF). One of the main reasons for DMF failure is its spring components destruction.

Influence of transportation object position in car body on its vibrational loading

Dynamic model for research of object transportation location influence on its vibrating loading by moving through a number of single obstacles, road with random microprofile and rough road is offered. Differential equations and methods of their integration in MATLAB Simulink software product are presented. The values of frequencies and amplitudes of vertical oscillations, vibration acceleration of the transportation object at different locations in the vehicle body were obtained.
