THE ROLE AND MEANING OF SACRAL BUILDING IN THE PROCESS OF EVOLUTION OF ARCHITECTURAL AND PLANNING STRUCTURE OF GALICIAN TOWNS FOUNDED IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE 16TH – 17TH CENTURY (EVIDENCE FROM ARTISTIC HERITAGE OF VASYL NAHIRNYI)
The article outlines evolutionary stages of the architectural and planning structure of Galician towns founded in the second half of the 16th – 17th century from the moment of their foundation until now. It was established that sacral buildings present the most stable elements of the planning structure and act as compositional dominants.
